Cotton became the focus of Miuccia Prada’s new collection for Spring Summer 2011. The cleanliness and simple quality of the fabric was used to deliver what can only be described as a ‘hard-working’ selection of garments. Prada seemed to be channelling the hardest working profession within her new range twinning crisp cotton shirts with vivid button stitching with the instantly recognisable hospital scrubs. Complete with V and slash neck collars, large front pocket and square cut body and sleeve, these shirts are iconic. Whilst perhaps unlikely to be adorning the nations wardrobes they are wonderfully delivered within Prada’s collection and help to accent the beautiful of simple cotton, seamless lines and colour balance.
